Baby Bears Toddler Program
1 to 3 years
Before they walk and talk, they interact. Interactions between caregivers and toddlers matter in a big way. These interactions lay the foundation for all subsequent development, making a focus on strengthening connections absolutely critical for improving child outcomes. At our child care center, our hands-on teaching efforts simplify our day by creating comfort, excitement, and peace of mind.
Our caregivers are experienced and certified to provide nurturing guidance while laying out the foundation for continuous growth and development. Our classrooms are safe and conducive to meet the needs of each child. Our classrooms have multiple teaching staff members and floaters that help facilitate developmentally-appropriate activities and classroom management daily.
Our toddler curriculum includes:
- Language Development: Expanding vocabulary through songs, stories, and conversations with caregivers and peers.
- Social Skills: Learning to share, take turns, and interact positively with other children and adults.
- Emotional Regulation: Recognizing feelings and beginning to express them appropriately, with guidance from caregivers.
- Motor Skills: Developing fine motor skills by using crayons, blocks, and puzzles, and gross motor skills through climbing, running, and dancing.
- Self-Help Skills: Practicing basic tasks like washing hands, feeding themselves, and beginning toilet training.
- Early Cognitive Skills: Engaging in activities that encourage counting, sorting, matching, and recognizing shapes and colors.
Classroom ratio
7:1 ratio with 12 toddlers maximum and 2 teachers (however, generally there is a 4:1 ratio with an additional teacher present.)
